ดูดไขมัน Federer Undergoes Knee Surgery

“I am so disappointed to have to miss Rotterdam and Dubai as they are two of my favorite tournaments on the ATP World Tour," Federer said. "While this is an unfortunate setback, I feel grateful that up until now I have remained mostly healthy throughout my career. My doctors have ensured me that the surgery was a success and with proper rehabilitation, I will be able to return to the Tour soon.”

Former World No. 1 forced to sit out February play ดูดไขมัน
Roger Federer has undergone arthroscopic knee surgery in Switzerland to repair a torn meniscus, his Team8 agent Tony Godsick has confirmed. Federer sustained the injury the day after his semi-final loss to Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals of the Australian Open.
In a media release Federer said that he would be forced to withdraw from two upcoming ATP World Tour 500 events, the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam and the Dubai Duty Free Tennis championships in Dubai.

ya he must be kidding, watch the excellent movie but don't become a fan of the actor or director who make it that worthwile, Right!! get well soon Roger, i knew there was something in that much against novak. unfortunately this. You are the only competitor to him at 35 and he needs you to improve his game. So get well soon for Djokovic

You gotta be kidding? Tennis existed long before Roger and will go on long after him. Book yourself some therapy cause Roger's exit is inevitable as death.Love the game. Enjoy your memories of him there is so much great tennis out there. Magic happens when you least expect it. You do yourself and tennis a disservice .

ดูดไขมัน Roger, my heart aches!!! Get well soon, please!!! You will be missed very much - the tour without you has no meaning ever !!!!!!! much love and wishes for a great recover !!!

Get well soon champ, the tour is not the same without you. And please don't give us Federer fans any more heartattacks :)

Wow. This sucks. Aside from the Djokovic match he played some great tennis at the Aussie Open. Hard to believe this is his first surgery given all the years and miles he's put on his body. Get well soon, Roger!

Why is there no info on exactly what he was doing to cause the injury. I can't find any comment anywhere.

Although repair of a torn meniscus is relatively minor surgery, for an elite tennis player who relies on his speed and the ability to stop, start and move on a dime, it is nevertheless a disturbing development. It can be the start of further knee problems. Hopefully in RF's case, it won't be.

no sign or hint of any injury at Aus Open

Roger, you are my favorite player - you are a class act and have brought so much great tennis to this sport. I'm sorry you're having to do this, but I know you will exit successfully. Keep up the great work and come back STRONGER. We will all miss you until you are back on the circuit. All the best to you!

no RF ,goodbye tennis! ดูดไขมัน

I think by end of 2016, Roger may be out of Top 10

MAKE BRAIN SURGERY IN SAME TIME!

federer will go down in ranking

get well king will miss uuuuuuuuu

Wishing you a speedy recovery Rog ..No Roger No Tennis

capt_arrogant, he should be happy winning Istanbul and another 250 event. As for GS or the Olympics, No11e says: "NOT ON MY WATCH"!!!!!!!!!!!

Medial or lateral meniscus? Of course this is the result of wear and tear over the years. Next may be cleaning up his right shoulder joint and then his inguinal hernia and then his inflamed achilles and then his ?????

Sounds to me like he just wants a break ala RN so he can come back and tear Nole a new one circa 35 years old.

OMG he is human. Or maybe this is his way of making us think he is... ดูดไขมัน

omg, hate to think of RF having any kind of injury!!!! Speedy recovery Roger!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey capt_arundave. It says in the article that Federer injured his knee the day AFTER HE LOST TO DJOKOVIC. So no, the injury is not the reason he lost that match. But you can keep on dreaming...

gathrawn
Capt_arundave, it said he injured his knee after the semifinal. So his knee was fine during the match and certainly before the match when he demolished Berdych. Murray is breathing a huge sigh of relief now, as his #2 ranking is safe through all of the month now (Fed would have gotten it back had he reached the Rotterdam final)

pullshot
Bad news indeed, "Rehabilitation time for a meniscus tear is about 2-3 months" and at 34+ gona be tough to return to form,gl to RF in coming back.

capt_arundave
His knee not being in fully healthy condition, may be the reason of his loss in SF of AO agnst JOKER, otherwise the match wud've been taken to 5-sets & may be RF won.Pray & wish a v v speedy recovery to Roger & hope he comes back FITTER than ever & wins RG, Wimbedon & Olympics GOLD in RIO in singles, Mixed dbls with Martina & Dbls with STAN the MAN

wiktoria118
You are the best player ever Roger! I believe that you will be back soon. Good luck!

vladimir23
kouroshv He had injuries in the past. Back injuries in 2013 and 2015. That we know of, he doesn't say much about these things. And mononucleosis in 2008.

sreeram
Get well soon Roger, you are the best. Nothing is more important than your health.

dlegend
Sucks for Fed, and these meniscus injuries are awful at ages 30+. I hope he recovers quick. His tennis is very entertaining, and he has some exciting rivalries with some top players.

alanlau2015
Get well soon legend, you'll be able to fight for your glory on court again

aslam
i think its because of extra movement and pressure on the court to compete with world no 1. Poor Roger almost stay healthy throughout his career. But his surge at this later stage is also more physical as compared to his past. So its unfortunate that his knees have left him when he is about to take no 2 position back. Hope he will be well soon.

smartyguy
Get well soon champion

andreagt
Take care Roger. You will me missed these next few weeks. It's always a treat to watch your amazing tennis.

_rf_
Fortunately the surgery was a success. I wish him the best recovery. The tour and tennis in general need Fed, because no one beside Stan (31 next month) is going to compete with Nole when Roger is out.

hitball2you
I know he loves being on the Tour and everything, but knee surgery at his age, and not being able to beat Novak in any tournament he's in, I don't know if he's going to be able to be satisfied continuing on the Tour under those circumstances. It's gotta hurt knowing you can't compete for the top tourneys any more.

buttonnose
Just want to wish Roger Federer the speediest of recovery. It is unusual to see any reference to surgery by his name but best to deal with it before the next Masters 1000 and Grand Slam. No tournament is ever the same without the Great one though. Get well Fed

rosaline
So sad for Roger to miss two favourite tournaments and for all the audiences there who will miss him too. Get fit again soon, Roger. What bad luck, also after that nasty dose of flu during the Brisbane tournament.

kouroshv
I thik he was lucky enough for playing without any injury all the time. He must count his blessings

racquetracket
Will he ad any clay court tournaments (besides RG) to his schedule now?

sieme
Better to get it sorted now, come back soon Maestro, get well soon.

sicknaveka
sweet good to hear RF
